Adding a Colour Pop

Summer is finally here! I'm really excited for the summer this year as I have a few exciting getaways planned so I can't wait to really enjoy the summer sun. I've really been loving adding a colour pop to my outfits as I think it's a super easy, fun and casual way to brighten up your look and make you look summer ready! The easiest way I've found to do this is by adding a colourful bag, I've somehow managed to create quite a collection...

Oh and the bicycle probably looks like the most random photo I could have found but it will all make sense on Tuesday! I think it's pretty cool how I managed to find a bright orange bike to match my bright orange bag though haha! Anyway, onto my summer bags!

I've chosen the 3 types which I think I will be using the most this summer: pastel coloured bags, bright coloured bags and printed bags. Let me know which is your favourite for the summer and which you'd be most likely to pair with your summer looks. All these looks I have posted before so if you'd like to see the full outfit and outfit details of any then you can simply click the link.

1. Pastels

I use pastel bags to add a little bit of colour, but nothing too over the top or in your face, I think pastels are nice for a subtle addition of colour to a look. I've used pastels to add a hint of colour to an all black look : Black for Spring, to tie in a pastel look : First Day of Spring,  to make prints stand out : Kaleidoscope,  and to add colour to a monochrome look : Cyan.

2. Brights

I have been obsessed with bright bags, when the sun is shining they look so vibrant (as you will be able to tell from some of my photos). I use a bright coloured bag to contrast prints : Sweet Orange,  to add colour to a monochrome/dark outfit : Colour Burst,  to add to a casual denim look Something Borrowed,  and to tie in other bold colours (a little sneak peak of a post coming soon!)

3. Printed

Finally, printed bags, I'm loving this lemon print clutch; I think I bought it early spring and have been dying to be able to use it! I think now that it's officially summer I will be using it so much more and I can't wait! I've paired my printed clutch with a bold blue look : Mon Belle,  and with a casual denim look : Crisp White.

How do you add a pop of colour to your looks? Do you use bags/shoes/clothes?
