Hello Sunshine

Portugal

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it on ASOS, I bought it without even having a reason to. I fell even more in love with it once it arrived at my doorstep. It is beautiful! I was looking for a yellow dress for the summer and although this one isn't exactly perfect for every day, it's definitely perfect for an occasion. Like I mentioned in my last few posts Portuguese village parties are quite a big deal, it definitely gives me enough of a motive to dress up each year. I must admit that this dress is far more suited for a wedding or a formal event as I did look a little over the top but oh well.

After the days events were over I quickly grabbed my dad, and a bunch of flowers my mum had arranged for the day (which matched my outfit perfectly, and it was completely unintentional) and started snapping some outfit photos. My auntie even came running to meet me saying I looked like a bride and she wanted to take a photo with me for facebook haha! A few other men who walked passed me laughed and my dad laughed along too - yay for village peeps! This has to be one of my favourite looks to date, I'm just so in love with this dress and I can't wait for a proper occasion to wear it again - a wedding, baptism, first holy communion, confirmation.. anything.

I couldn't decide on whether to base this look on the yellow dress or experiment with other colours, but because it's summer I decided to go all out. I chose my red marc b bag which has been the best little bag to carry around this summer and a pair of drop earrings which seem to be the ones I reach for the most when I'm not wearing my beloved hoops. I kept arm candy pretty simple with a gold bracelet and watch and a few scattered rings in a variety of sizes. Finally, shout out to my legs for looking about 3 shades darker than the rest of my body..

What do you think of yellow look?
