Another week, another hotel. This time in a completely new area to me, I stayed in Hotel La Parizienne which is a boutique hotel in the heart of Montparnasse - you could see the building towering over the Parisian houses from the bedroom window. I surprisingly really liked the area, it felt much more homely and there was so much nearby ranging from restaurants, cafes and shops which is something I've found to be lacking when you stay towards the centre of Paris.

The room I stayed in was huge! As soon as I walked in I was so surprised to see such a large room in Paris as the city is notoriously known for its cosy rooms. The bed was huge and comfy, and there was also the option of opening up the sofa to create another bed making this the perfect room for 3-4 guests. There was a cute little nook in the room which perfectly harboured a desk, great for if you're on a working trip or know you'll be needing to get some work done whilst away, it's a somewhat private space which I thought was a nice touch in the room. The bathroom was pretty small but I loved it nonetheless, it squeezed in a bath which makes it a winner in my eyes! Not to mention the his 'n' hers sinks, a nice touch, and the amazing mirror complete with lights that made me feel like a super star (and perfect for selfies too!)

Breakfast was continental with mini pastries (fresh out the oven), bread, fruit, pancakes and more, as well as a small selection of hot food including scrambled eggs and sliced ham. This hotel has a 3 star (***) rating and I thought it was a really great room considering, you could easily walk to the Eiffel Tower in 20-30 minutes which on a sunny day makes for a lovely walk - otherwise there are plenty of métro stations nearby to get you to wherever you'd like to go.

Book your stay at Hotel La Parizienne here.

  1. What a lovely room, and it's surprises me that it only has three stars. The quality of the decoration and bathroom looks far to modern for that. I really hope I can visit Paris soon.

    1. I thought the exact same! I think it's down to the facilities offered at the hotel, there aren't many room service comes from a restaurant closeby so I think that has a lot to do with it too otherwise I'm sure it would have a much higher rating with a room like this! X
