I've been eyeing up what's new and trending on the high street in a bid to decide on what I need to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming season; the mini skirt is one of those items.

With spring right around the corner I've been eyeing up what's new and trending on the high street in a bid to decide on what I need to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming season; there will be a video coming your way tomorrow on my channel where I share my 5 top picks for spring so if you're not yet subscribed then please head over and join me on my YouTube channel! Keep an eye out for that video tomorrow evening but in the meantime, here's a sneak peak of one of the things I'm adding to my wardrobe: the mini skirt. I'm always cautious when it comes to mini skirts as being quite tall can often lead to challenges when finding the right skirt that isn't too mini (I recently bought a skirt from Topshop which was literally a belt, I couldn't quite believe it!)

I picked out a grey skirt from New Look with a tie belt and decided to turn it into a transitional piece. When transitioning between seasons I like to mix and match favourites, in this case, a mini skirt which is a nod to spring paired with a jumper which is of course brought forward from winter. I wanted to add a few of my wardrobe staples - I always need some favourites to act as a security blanket when experimenting with new styles - so I picked out a bucket bag and my super fun studded ankle boots from Missguided which I still think work so well both day time and night time. Now I know there's a serious lack of colour in this outfit but there's no denim in sight! For some reason I can't seem to add colour and ditch denim at the same time but we'll get there, it's a work in progress...
