Until Autumn really kicks in there's always that awkward transition period when you don't really know what to wear, it's kind of warm but it's kind of cold, you look out the window and spot some sunshine... amidst the dark grey clouds. I mean, I always find the transitional periods pretty hard to dress for as you just never truly know if one season is over and the next has started.

So what's one of the simplest ways to be ready for whatever weather? Layering! I'm sure I'll be ranting and raving about layering over the upcoming months so I'm going to keep it short and sweet this time. If you can still get away with a cami then go for it, I'm wearing this gorgeous blush pink lace camisole from Dorothy Perkins. Paired with a chunky knit cardigan or a leather jacket makes it the perfect piece come rain or shine - when it's hot take off your outer layer and let your skin soak up the final bits of sunshine and when it starts to get chilly (or when it gets cloudy) pop on your layering piece for added warmth. Jeans are undoubtedly a wardrobe staple in Autumn so grab your favourite pair, I'm wearing some new-in jeans from Missguided, and for this particular outfit I decided to wear my black lace up heels as I know it will be the last few times I'll get away with wearing them before it begins to constantly rain in London.
