Day-to-Night : Co-ordinates

So here's something a little different for my blog! A day-to-night look. Now of course this is mostly a spring/summer look because of the pretty co-ordinate and bold print. So if you're going on holiday or even on a sunny day in the UK, the little times it is sunny, this is a great and super easy look to style between day time and night time. Here's how I styled this co-ordinate two ways...

I loved reading all your responses to these two posts and loads of you really liked this co-ordinate, so I thought I'd combine these two previous posts into one to show you how to style this in two different ways. One being a day time look and the other a night time look, as the title dictates.

So for the day time the easiest way to dress anything down is to grab a leather jacket to throw on top, and that's what I chose to do. I then kept it simple with a pair of black boots and my black handbag, I also added some frilly socks to make the look a bit more girly and cute as in my opinion leather really toughens up a look.

To switch things up for the evening I ditched the jacket, which is possible in the summer when it's warmer in the evenings but if it's not yet warm enough then you can wear a jacket on top, after all, majority of the time when you're going out you tend to ditch the jacket during the night anyway. I opted for some red heels for a slightly colour blocked look but you could add any coloured heels but in the spring/summer I feel like you have an excuse to wear some more colour so why not! I also added a pretty pink clutch to replace my bulky black bag.

For both looks I added jewellery of course, toned down in the day and added more for the evening look. If you'd like details of what exactly I'm wearing then you can check out the original posts:

  1. Hi Patricia!

I just came across your blog today and love your style! This outfit is gorgeous - my favourite is the leather jacket & boots combo - the frilly socks really do add a nice girly touch! This is perfect to wear to work I think.

    1. Believe it or not it isn't a dress! It's actually a two-piece (skirt and top) that's the great thing about coords you can style them up to be different things :) X

    1. Thanks! I thought it was fun experimenting with the co-ord and putting together a more "grunge" look rather than a girly girl one. Happy to hear :) X
