Currently obsessing over all things cropped, be it cropped trousers, cropped denim and the beloved culottes but styling them casually can be sometimes prove difficult.
Culottes are one of those fail-safe pieces that somehow always manage to make their way back into my wardrobe come either autumn or spring, or both! Whilst I was trying to snap out of my all-I-wear-is-denim style rut I ordered loads of cropped trousers including some smarter options, lightweight summer alternatives (which despite me buying what felt like the whole of GAP never really worked out), cropped denim flares and the classic culottes. These are from Missguided so they're really affordable and I think they work a treat. I've only ever worn these culottes casually which came as a surprise because you know me, I'm an ankle boots kinda gal and will always opt for something with a heel rather than flats, especially if I'm stepping out of my comfort zone of jeans and a jumper. What can I say? There's something about these culottes that makes me feel like I'm whizzing through my to-do list whilst out and about running errands.
I love finding new pieces that I can incorporate into my everyday wardrobe; I'll be the first to admit that more often than not I'll shop and share (on my blog) trend-led pieces focussing on the latest offerings from the high street as best as I can as I find that to be the most helpful in terms of what I can provide for you. Love my top? You can buy it now on the high street - that's what I love about blogging, seeing something and knowing I'll be able to pop out and pick it up myself! So the fact that these made it into my everyday, practical wear is a big win. The sunshine we had over the last few days has meant I've been ditching my coats and jackets (the dream!) and so I picked out another new piece in my wardrobe, this time from Next - which is killing it right now FYI. Paired with converse because they are, and will probably always be, my go-to on casual days. What I love about this look is that by adding a pair of strappy black heels and a leather jacket you've got yourself an evening look.
