Still Longing For Spring

peexo spring dreaming
What is up with the weather at the moment?! After welcoming a couple of days of humid sunshine, it's back to rain for us in the UK - typical. Whilst I managed to snap up some spring outfit shots it's all wishful thinking as the sunshine never lasts too long.

Although it may officially be spring, it definitely hasn't felt like it over the past few weeks but finally, it would seem we've had a turn around (I wrote this pre rainfall) I've been longing to wear my spring wardrobe but the weather simply hasn't been on our side. As soon as we had a few days of sunshine I made sure to make the most of it albeit not for long. Although I must admit, I'm two exams down with two more to go so I'm kind of pleased the weather hasn't been that great because exam season is always made that much harder when the sun is shining and you're locked up indoors trying to revise!

For when the sun does decide to shine again, I've been wearing some mini skirts which I said would be a spring wardrobe essential of mine but haven't actually been able to wear often down to the fact spring hasn't actually felt like spring... As soon as we had a glimpse of sunshine, I pulled out this denim mini skirt from Stradivarius as I love the fact it's denim so easy enough to style and also down to the fact I shaved my legs so I wasn't going to let that go to waste. My shirt is from Primark so naturally, it was a complete bargain for such an on-trend piece; this style of shirt is pretty popular at the moment so I managed to find similar on New Look which is also pretty affordable. My accessories of choice were a pair of salmon-coloured flats from Shoeaholics with a sling back making them a great pair of flats to throw on when you're in a hurry and need something easy to throw on, and a crossbody bag which of course is a current essential/staple piece of mine, this one is from Topshop and the latest addition to my rapidly growing collection.

    1. It's a tiny bit shorter than I would like but if ever there's a time to get away with a short skirt it's during spring/summer! X
