5 Tips For Valentine's Outfits

1. A red bag
I don't have many coloured bags because I usually go for the standard black but I was gifted a small red one from Marc b. and I'm pretty sure it constantly pops up on my blog! A little coloured clutch or shoulder bag is perfect to add to your LBD on a night out or to carry over your shoulder when you're shopping (I'm not a fan of massive handbags when I'm trying to shop).

My favourite red bags:

2. A red jacket or coat
I picked up my red leather jacket on a whim in Primark when I saw it was reduced to only £10 (bargain!) I wasn't too sure on how to style it as it's definitely out there but I love it! I have a pastel pink leather jacket which I got last Spring and got so much wear out of it and I think this red one will be a close competitor. I've actually just ordered another red coat from Sheinside too and I can't wait to style it!

My favourite red outerwear:

3. Add some red heels
I've been after the Primark heels in a red for so long and now that it's Valentine's Day I wasn't let down. I've mentioned before how much I love them because they're really affordable at only £9 and they're just a good heel. If you're tall like me and rarely use heels, splashing out just isn't really something I want (nor should) do so the Primark ones are great in my opinion. I've been really into wearing stripes and adding a pop of red in a bid to look a little more Parisian and feel like I'm in the city of love.

My favourite red heels:

4. Add romantic jewellery
I typically go for gold and silver toned jewellery because I think they're the easiest to style around your outfit but there are so many statement necklaces and drop down earrings that are just so beautifully decorated with coloured gem stones that can really tie together an entire outfit. In last weeks' posts I was wearing a gorgeous pair of drop earrings from Adorning Ava which I think fit in so well with the theme of love, last year I went for a pair of pink earrings.

My favourite jewellery:

5. Wear your favourite red lippy!
Earlier on this week I shared my favourite red lipstick, you can see that post here, I think it's the easiest way to inject a bit of lovin' into your outfit as a vibrant lip is always so eye-catching. So what better than a daring red for Valentine's Day? Find out what my favourite red lipstick is here.

These are 5 simple ways to change up any outfit and make it fit in with the Valentine's Day theme of luuurve. I've only included red bits in this post because that's the colour I chose to focus on last week - the majority of my looks were outfits I'd wear anyway but I added a pop of red so they were a little more Valentine-esque - but you can add any romantic shade, I love adding pinks and rose gold to my outfits too but I think red is flawless.

& girl, even if you're single use it as the perfect excuse to get dressed up and party the night away! Or, a cinema date with Mr Grey ;)
