The Impact Blogging Has Had on my Style Journey

peexo blogging impact on my style
As my style journey continues, I've been desperately trying to ditch the denim for spring time and the latest step in that direction has been adding a culotte jumpsuit to my wardrobe.

It's safe to say that thanks to my blog I've become more daring, not necessarily in character - I'm quite a shy person - but with my style. My blog has given me a platform to share what I love and experiment with new things, I often try pieces that I probably wouldn't have dared to try. For instance, my current obsession with yellow and red would probably never have happened a few years ago before my blog began. One thing I think I would never have bought is a jumpsuit, let alone a culotte jumpsuit.

This culotte jumpsuit is from Closet and is such a great option for light layering. I'm not usually one for layering, more often than not the extent of layering for me is simply adding a cardigan under a jacket during winter. With a jumpsuit, layering becomes so easy! Currently, adding a long sleeved top underneath has been my go-to; I particularly love this frilly top from Fashion Union, it gives off some prairie girl vibes and that's something I have surprisingly fallen in love with (again, something that probably wouldn't have happened without my blog because I doubt I would have tried anything like it!) Once it starts to get warmer, I can swap a long sleeved top for a Tshirt instead which will carry the outfit forward from spring to summer. The thing I love the most about this is the length of the jumpsuit, I'm on the hunt for a few more cropped trousers and don't hate me but I'm also searching high and low for a pair of cropped denim jeans too - despite the desire to rid my wardrobe of denim for spring - so please send any suggestions my way!

When it comes to my blog outfits I always like dressing up ever so slightly, or at least making things look a little more glam, so I decided to finish off this look with my black lace up sandals from Public Desire. Swap those for a pair of converse though and it works just as well! I've realised that I've been lacking when it comes to bags recently, I received a comment on one of my videos a few days ago suggesting I feature bags with my outfits and I don't know why I've stopped doing it all of a sudden. I think it's because I've fallen in love with a black cross body bag and it's become my go-to, I feel like if I were to keep sharing the same thing you'd get bored of it. Will definitely make a note to add bags from now on - it could be a couple of weeks until you see a change though because I've got a lot of content ready and waiting to go but promise I'll work on it. In the meantime, check out my Instagram to see some of my daily looks!

  6. I love this jumpsuit! I recently wore a jumpsuit for the first time the other day. A floral print culotte jumpsuit no less! I don't think I would have been brave enough to do that before I got into blogging. It's great how the community can encourage us to step out of our style comfort zones and try new things!

For cropped jeans try Gap. They have huge array of styles in different lengths - I reckon you'd be able to find your perfect pair. X

    1. Isn't it just? That's exactly what I'm talking about, blogging has opened so many style doors (if that's even a thing) which is so incredible. I've tried loads from Gap but haven't quite managed to find the right ones yet, I did get some great copped denim from Next though! X
