Weekend Getaway

Scotland, UK
So this post will be different to my usual outfit posts but I hope you all like it! Let me know if you'd like to see more (or less) of this type of post, I'd love to know.

If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that this weekend I went to Scotland. After quite a long day of travelling I'm finally back at uni now, hence why this post is much later than usual. I went to visit my auntie and uncle and to be honest I haven't had a single moment to rest since Friday but I had such a great stay! On Saturday we went to Glenshee Ski Resort which was so amazing; I've seen snow before but this was so crazy, the people there were dressed for snow sports but we weren't...

As soon as the car door opened I thought to myself what am I doing. Just so you understand how ridiculous it was I wore tights underneath some leggings and took a spare pair of jeans for after.. well, needless to say I quickly decided the jeans were necessary that instant. So yep, you guessed it, I wore tights, leggings and jeans, a jumper, the biggest cardigan I own and my leather jacket.. and the addition of my uncle's more appropriate jacket. The only thing that was weather appropriate were the snow boots my auntie and I ran around trying to find the day before!

Despite the outfit disaster it was a really great day! We had a snow ball fight (of course), went sledging which was really great but it was SO cold and windy that the snow was slapping us in the face as it fell and believe it or not it really hurts! About an hour or so later I just couldn't handle it anymore and ran back to the warmth of the car. These photos sum up the day for me; the snow, the laughs, the interesting look and the cold.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this post, let me know if you'd like to see more of these in the comments below :)

  1. I love this post, It looks like a winter wonderland. But I couldn't imagine being in the cold to where the snow slaps you in the face, lol, I think I would have ran back to the car as well. Looking forward to the Facebook chat...
