Oh So Retro

Can I start by saying I am in love with this two piece from Motel! I was in desperate search for a pretty co-ord now that it's spring and this print immediately caught my eye. I know there was an identical blue version around last year which I wanted but never got my hands on, as soon as I saw this one.. well, you guessed it, into my basket it went! Here's how I styled it...

The print is really fun which I absolutely adore; red is the base tone with hints of blue, purple, pink and white which I think work so well together. A co-ord can at first seem a bit daunting, wearing a bold printed two piece can sometimes be overwhelming and that's why I opted for a skirt and top because a bare leg breaks up the print. I tucked in the top so it ends up looking like a dress making it's fairly easy to style from there.

I kept the rest of my look black to let the print do the talking! I wore a simple leather jacket which I almost always end up wearing (it shows how much I love it and how it's a huge wardrobe essential!). I used my black bag, of course, and black boots paired with frilly socks which aren't very visible but I think the frills look cute and can add a little extra to the outfit.

Check out these sunnies! I have quite a small face so sunglasses tend to take over most of my face and I think these ones do just that, oops. But I love them anyway! The large round frame makes them look so retro and I must admit I feel cool wearing them even though I might not look it haha - a girl can dream. These are another cheap pair from Primark, I never spend much on sunglasses because I always look silly; although I've spotted the perfect Ray Ban's, but where's the money at? Student life.

Accessory wise I kept it simple, again to let the print do the talking. For me it's always either silver accessories or gold. I don't know why I don't like mixing tones but I'm sure this will change; I didn't like silver accessories and now I'm all about silver.

  6. I'm still undecided on whether I like co-ords but this set looks amazing on you! I love the print. Motel have some really good things in at the moment, just bought 2 printed dresses from there the other week and they're both really nice!

    1. Yeah I agree there are some that are just far too bold for me! I really want to try out the trouser co-ord but just think that's a bit too "out there" for me at the moment. Maybe on the future when I'm more confident. I love Motel prints too! X

    1. Sometimes prints can seem a bit daunting but if you style them right then they're not too over powering and a nice change from plain pieces! Haha, these definitely won't I think I bought them for like £3 or something! X
