Something Borrowed

 Checkered blue shirt - Hollister
Green shoulder bag - Borrowed

I have to admit that when I grabbed this shirt out of my wardrobe I literally had a flash back to my early teenage years (I'd like to think I'm still a teenager at nineTEEN). But you know if you ever go to Westfield there are a bunch of 11 to 13 year olds carrying around their Hollister and Gilly Hicks bags because it's so cool. Well yeah, that's what I thought but I don't have a vast array of shirts and I'm really liking blue at the moment so I decided to wear it...

I don't tend to wear many brands because they're ridiculously overpriced, having worked at Abercrombie & Fitch back in the day it's just so overrated and really not that special if you ask me. Although, I haven't been to these chain stores for a while now so I guess things may have changed. I've seen a few blogger collaborations, and while I do like the final look, I feel like I could buy a cheaper alternative elsewhere.

I put on a pair of leigh jeans, my all time favourite type of jeans, and that's me ready. I love anything that can be worn with a simple pair of jeans, I live in jeans and jumpers at university because it's so comfy. I grabbed my red heels and was ready to go. I love these heels! I bought them for Valentine's Day, you can see that post here, but they're suede so I'm only just confident to wear them without worrying too much about the rain.

I then reached for my black bag but my friend/photographer Maria suggested we switch bags so I used her green bag; you can see how Maria wore it here. I actually really like the way it looks with this outfit! The colour is amazing, so vibrant. I ended up mixing more colours than I usually would but I quite like the end result. What do you think?

Of course no look of mine is complete without jewellery.. I wore a pair of standard gold New Look hoop earrings, a thin gold infinity Bershka necklace - which I've used a lot recently, I think chunky chains are easier to wear with big jumpers so in the spring/summer months I use simple chains instead. I wore my gold GUESS watch and gold spiked Topshop bracelet. These are quickly becoming spring/summer favourites of mine.
