Cyan

Pinch, punch, first day of the month! I can't believe how quickly March went by, next week my second term at university will be over and not long after I'll be sitting my first year exams *eeek*! As soon as the sun is out my legs are out too, it seems to be protocol. I'm definitely making the most of the sunshine whenever its about - it feels like winter lasted way too long! Today's outfit is a monochrome look with a pop of colour once again...

In my last outfit post, here, I wore an all black look and then added pink to brighten it up. In this look I've done something similar - for me all black and monochrome looks are saved for winter because the dull weather doesn't make you feel like a ray of sunshine, but the summer is the perfect opportunity to go crazy with colour! However, when this doesn't come across in the clothes I'm wearing I find other ways to add colour.

I think every girl (and guy) has a plain black T-shirt in their wardrobe, I wore mine with monochrome floral shorts. I love these, they're perfect for summer, they're slightly high waisted and fit really nicely - usually I struggle to find high waisted shorts that fit me properly because my hips are much larger than my waist - most of the time I end up with an annoying gap at the back but these have a tight fit which prevents that. I then wore my favourite fluffy cardigan which I think is perfect for spring.

The clutch was an impromptu buy when I was in Scotland a while back; we needed some cheap snow boots so we went to Deichmann, known for it's low priced shoes, but I spotted this bag while we were paying and had to get it too! It's a super cute cyan blue (hence the name of this post) with silver detailing. I added very minimal silver jewellery and the sun meant sunglasses time! My hair looks horrible and dead in the sun too - but I have cut it! I have another 3 long haired posts to come and then I should have short hair in my posts, representing me right now haha!

P.S. Don't forget it's April fools today! Don't be fooled but definitely fool ;)

    1. I haven't really ventured into neons, I don't think I'm confident enough for that quite yet haha. I love adding jewellery too, although mine are standard gold or silver pieces. I love adding colourful bags for sure! X

    1. It's always such a pain! I struggle to find tailored shorts that fit me nicely (I usually go for stretchy ones so I can tighten them as much as I need) but these fir beautifully! X
