Palm Print

This look is a take on smart/casual. I actually think it's quite hard to find a good balance between the two but in my opinion this look does just that. The skirt has a super fun, bright print and the shirt.. well, it's a shirt. A long sleeved top is also a great alternative to a jacket when the sun is shining, but don't be fooled, the sun may be shining but it's still a bit chilly outside so don't forgo the jacket completely just yet haha! Let's get onto a detailed view of my look..

I got this skirt last week from Primark and instantly fell in love, it's beautiful and a great material, which is always a plus. It's a bit on the warm side so I might not get as much wear out of it in the summer as I would have hoped but it's a great option for the evening when the summer breeze kicks in, and it's perfect for spring. I wanted it to be slightly more high waisted than it is - I went for a smaller size but it still sits at the hips which I'm not a huge fan of. Nonetheless, you can't really go wrong when it comes to Primark and with something a bit thicker tucked in, like a jumper, it should do the trick and push it up a little bit.

At first I had paired the skirt with a plain black T-shirt and my leather jacket but thought it looked too dark for spring, and a white T-shirt just didn't sit well with me so I went for a tucked in shirt instead. I like the way it looks - I think it's a balance between casual and smart, so a smart casual look haha. The skirt is super fun and the shirt smartens up the whole look. I absolutely love these boots and will continue wearing them until it's unbearably hot, and of course, this black bag has been, and probably will be, forever on my blog.

I kept accessories really toned down for this look, with some simple silver jewellery. I wore a pair of sunglasses which are clearly too big for my face, yay me! I have such a small and slightly square face that it's basically impossible to find any sunglasses that suit me. They end up taking over my whole face, giving me a massive looking nose (it's already big enough and sunglasses just make it so much more noticeable). I need to find a small pair of sunglasses that don't take over my whole face - I think it's why all my sunglasses are super cheap, I just can't commit, I look too silly!

Have you been to Primark recently? Do you let one print "do the talking" or do you like pairing more than one print for your spring look?

    1. Completely agree! It's a slightly thicker material though so probably not great for when it's mega hot, but then again in London that probably won't happen too often so it's great! X

    1. No way! I'm literally shocked at that - maybe Primark is only a Europe thing? It's so good, I'm jealous you guys have Sabo Skirt, I was browsing their website and literally wanted it all but I don't think I can justify £10 shipping costs :( Aw, thank you sweetie! X

    1. They have soooo many! Especially in the Tottenham Court Road one, it was £9 which I guess is slightly pricey for a Primark skirt but it's a really nice, thick material :) X
