I braved the cold to photograph loads of spring ensembles and it's just my luck that a week later the sun has disappeared and it's like we're going back in time and heading into winter rather than in spring. But I guess April is living up to its name with the April showers. I wanted to wear this dress again as I think I only briefly wore it when I first got it last year and I've seen so much about recycling old clothes so I thought I'd recycle my favourites in a different way by making an effort to wear them again. Funnily enough I didn't want to wear a jacket with this but it was so cold Faith made me grab one before we headed out the door and I'm glad she did because this is much better suited for the weather we're having now.
Layering is something I typically associate with autumn/winter but I've just overlapped my collars and that's my spring layering; this dress has a really oversized collar which I simply brought out to overlap with my leather jacket and although really subtle, I really like it! Mules are perfect for this time of year and I've actually spotted a light pink pair which I think I need (although I am trying to refrain because I have far too many shoes). When the weather doesn't scream summer the best thing to do is grab the brightest thing you own, in my case it's this three year old novelty clutch from River Island.
