Brown faux fur gilet - H&M

As the weather is getting warmer and spring is just around the corner it's time to get ready for bare legs, fewer layers, lighter colours, warmer weather and so much more. This all being theoretically because living in London I wouldn't be surprised if it continues to rain through spring haha! As it's not quite warm enough to go out with a lot of exposed skin I tend to choose between showing legs and wearing a jacket or leaving the jacket and opting for jeans, I feel it balances out somehow...

In this look faux fur is making an appearance once again, this time in the form of a gilet. People tend to wear gilets mostly in the winter because it's good for keeping warm but I don't think it's enough in the winter as your core may be toasty but the arms are still slightly exposed. For that reason I bought a gilet that was mostly for sitting pretty, it doesn't do much other than look nice haha.

I bought this shirt while in tartan trend mode and although it isn't exactly tartan, it's a nice checkered print which reminds me of tartan most of the time anyway. The shirt is blue with navy/black checks, it is a bit sheer so it's best worn with either a vest top inside or with something over the top like the gilet I used. I wore some black jeans (not high waisted this time!) to just tie the look together.

I also wore my cut-out boots which I love because of the gold buckle detailing, they're a nice alternative to a plain black boot. I also changed bag for once! But I'm sure it won't be for long as this one is a very large holdall, I had a lot to carry and sometimes my trusty black bag just won't suffice. I opted for a large black and beige side panel bag as it brings together the black and brown tones in the look.

Accessory wise I wore two necklaces: a gold bar Etsy necklace and a gold infinity Bershka necklace. They're both thin chains so they can easily be layered on. I stacked some gold H&M rings, a gold GUESS watch and a gold spiked Topshop bracelet. Once the weather gets warmer it's time to start the arm party! I love to stack summer bracelets as the warmer months kick in.
