Hello, and welcome to the new www.peexo.co.uk

I did it! I finally caved, I bought my own domain and had a complete blog revamp which I'm so happy with! Don't worry my blog isn't changing completely (no, I'm not becoming a beauty blogger haha) but seeing as this post is about change I decided to throw in a beauty post for good measure! I had a couple of new beauty products to review and thought this was the perfect opportunity to. I was recently sent a few bits from Yves Rocher, a French brand I'll have you know - so that instantly appealed to me with my year abroad fast approaching! - I was gifted a few products to try and review which was the perfect excuse for me to try something new.

I was going for a spring-look and I quite like the neutrals and peachy tones in the warmer months so here's what I came up with. For my base I went for the Bourjois healthy mix foundation which is really light and perfect for spring, I used the Yves Rocher primer and eyeshadow quad on my eyes - I didn't have an eyeshadow primer so this was the perfect little addition, both the primer and quad come in compact packaging so they're great for travelling and keeping in your handbag - the primer smoothed my eyelid so it was ready for a neat application. This quad is perfect for a smoky eye but I toned it down a little using the two lighter shades. I've been loving a cat-eye flick recently but had never tried with a pencil, intrigued by the design of the Yves Rocher pencil kajal I gave it a go and it worked really well! I used the Maybelline brow drama which I still don't like haha! Mascara was also from Yves Rocher advertising volume rather than length which isn't my preference but that's all down to what you want from your lashes (mine are super short so I'm constantly after more length rather than volume). My trusted SleekUK blush by three was my blusher of choice and Makeup Revolution bronze, shimmer and highlight (big love!) for an added glow and a nude lipdtick from the Kate Moss, Rimmel collection to finish off the look.

What's your go-to spring makeup look?
