Biker Chic Florals

I know florals can be so cliché but and usually not my favourite but I really love this Lipsy dress, it's from their collaboration with Michelle Keegan (and who wouldn't want to look like her?!) it's a really delicate soft material and has some lace inserts on the sleeves which obviously I've covered up in these photos but you can have a look online to see in more detail. I'm really feeling over winter which is strange for me because typically I quite like the colder months and being able to layer but this year I'm feeling well and truly over it now. I can't wait for more sunshine! I tend to juxtapose pretty florals with something  more dark, for this outfit I chose a longline cardigan which I always come back to, my leather jacket - a favourite that hasn't made an appearance in a while - as well as these seriously cool buckle boots, I love how tough they look but still quite feminine with the open toe, next I'll be styling these with jeans for an even more edgier look!

My boyfriend is coming to France today to spend this weekend with me and we're spending Valentine's Day in Paris which I'm sort of finding a bit cringe but I can't help but feel a little excited about it too. Now that I think about it I've always used Valentine's Day as an excuse to make him visit me (at university) because he only ever visits on special occasions really so I have to make the most of it! I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing and if you're stuck on what to wear for a date or night out then check out all my Valentine's Day posts here.

  1. I'm usually really not into florals but I love how you've touched it up with the heels and the leather jacket!x

    1. They can be so cliché especially now that we're nearing spring time but I love that the dress is on a black base so it's pretty easy to toughen up a little! X

  2. You look amazing and I'm a massive fan of florals, I actually have a really similar dress but now you've got me wanting this one! I've never thought about making it a bit edgier though so I might give it a go.
