Lanzarote Lookbook: Day 1

Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Spain

Here we go! Day 1 of my week away in Lanzarote. It was of course, gloriously sunny which was a nice alternative to the forever undecided British summer which includes rays of sunshine as well as summer showers. On the first day we decided to do a little exploring...

We took a walk around the coast and came across some beautiful beaches surrounded by palm trees and cacti! There's something about palm trees that just screams summer, and the clear blue ocean water just makes you want to dive right in. I have to admit that the wind in Lanzarote was crazy! It was just non-stop wind which can be quite refreshing when it's hot but I did find it to be a little too windy at times..

We stayed in Costa Teguise which is quite small really, we walked down to the beach every evening as it was so close to our hotel and really beautiful. But with it being so small there was very little to do, once we had seen the beaches we had pretty much seen it all but I'm not complaining. I like the idea of feeling chilled on holiday, I feel that if you want to cram in a lot into one holiday sometimes you begin to feel overwhelmed and don't actually relax.

Also! I had been searching high and low for a reasonably priced kimono and finally decided to try my luck on Ebay, while they may not be as nice as the ones on the high street, their price definitely makes them very, very nice! I really wanted a kimono with the tassels and when I found this one I didn't hesitate to buy it. So if you're on the lookout for a cheap kimono then try Ebay!
