Ok, ok, I know my Lanzarote Lookbook is over but I couldn't resist posting this final look. I said that I wasn't able to post a few looks but as my holiday uniform was pretty identical every day I thought I could skip some crop top and shorts ensembles but this outfit is a little different so I thought I'd share it. This is such a versatile outfit so it's even perfect for summer in the city with just a change of shoes, onto the look...
I really wasn't joking last week when I said that it was very windy in Lanzarote! We went up a hill to take these photos to catch all the white houses in the background but it just got so windy we stopped half way haha. I mentioned before how much I've been loving bright colours this summer; whether it be in my outfits or a part of my makeup, I've completely fallen for the bold colour trend.
I took away with me a pretty blue dress which I wanted to wear but it was a skater style and would be all over the place in the wind so I ended up creating my own dress, sort of. This blue skirt is a skater style but it's far more structured so even the Lanzarote winds couldn't get past it which was perfect. I chose a simple blue cami, a step away from my constant use of crop tops throughout the holiday. I love this one because of the strap detailing, the straps are little gold chains which I think look super cute - I love little alternative details like this one.
I took away 2 little bags with me and didn't end up using any apart from this one one evening. I was constantly carrying around my camera with me so I needed a bigger bag for all my things to fit. But with this all blue look my lemon clutch was only fitting! As we stayed in an all inclusive hotel I didn't need to have my bag with me for dinner or anything so I hardly used any of the clutches I took away with me. I opted to dress up a little this evening so I wore my Forever 21 drop earrings which have some beautiful blue tones; I usually go for hoop earrings as I think they're the most versatile but I do like to wear statement earrings sometimes (although I struggle to find an ocassion for them).
Which colours have you been loving this summer? Is cobalt blue one of your favourite?
