What's In My Beach Bag

Portugal

It's not often that I'm relaxing at the beach so when I do I like to spend as much time as possible frolicking in the sea and trying my very, very best to tan (that's not going too well by the way). I think I'm going to start praising myself for my ability to pack so little, if you're struggling to scale down your beauty product packing then look no further than my blog - I pack light! I think there are a few essentials you need at the beach and that's what I stick to. Here's what I take to the beach...

I know some of you will think this is ridiculous, especially beauty bloggers, but this was enough for me. I'm not one to get out the waterproof mascara to go to the beach, partly because I don't own one at the moment, but mostly because I can't be bothered! I don't think a bit of mascara is going to mask the fact I'm smothered in sun cream, oil, and sweat (ew). This year I took on Clarins at the beach: face, body, milk lotion spray (also for your body). It's so important to protect yourself from the sun, even when it looks a little cloudy the sun is there so sun cream is definitely an essential.

I take a hat as I think they're super stylish and shelter your face from the sun, sunglasses are a must (of course), flip flops to walk around - I'm currently loving this golden pair from Ipanema, they'll look great on tanned skin and are, so far, my favourite. I also take headphones so I can listen to music whilst on the beach. I regretted not taking a book as playing games on my phone wasn't the best way to spend my time.. but I didn't take a book with me.. oops, maybe I pack too light!

  1. Love your selection. I'm going away tomorrow and I'm never sure of what to take in a beach bag so this has helped. I never tan either- its so weird. I just stay the one colour all year round.

    1. Ah that's great! I pack lightly, so you may feel you need a little more but this worked fine for me :) If I find a secret to tanning I'll let you know haha! X
