peexo blogger 5 things I'm looking forward to this autumn
Autumn is hands down my favourite season. There's something about the autumn breeze, falling leaves and crisp mornings that I absolutely adore. I find I'm at my most inspired throughout autumn too which definitely helps lighten my mood as I feel I'm working to the best of my abilities. Now that it's truly starting to feel like autumn, these are some of the things I'm most looking forward to this season!

Does The Fashion Industry Snub Bloggers?

Tuesday, 17 October 2017

london fashion week peexo blogger
Fashion week has always remained a very elitist affair where we're used to seeing celebrities sitting on the front row and relying on magazines and mainstream media to showcase the upcoming designs, trends and looks. The emergence of blogs has created a new outlet for fashion week coverage, one where we, as bloggers, are able to put our own twist on what used to be considered normal and ultimately, share whatever we want but does this lead to being snubbed?

The Midi-Maxi Length Taking Over This Autumn

Monday, 16 October 2017

midi maxi length aw17 trends peexo
Come autumn you can expect to see the typical autumnal trends make a come-back, the addition of ankle boots is a must and I don't know about you, but knitwear is currently spewing out of my wardrobe. I'm always excited to see which new trends are going to be hitting the high street every season and this autumn there's a new trend on the block: the midi-maxi.

If You Only Do One Thing This October...

peexo lifestyle blogger pumpkin patch
Last weekend I took a trip to a pumpkin patch and it was pretty amazing, I'm not even exaggerating. I've wanted to go to a pumpkin patch for a while and as soon as we reached October and autumn mode kicked in, the search began. Not knowing what to expect (photos can be deceiving) we set off on a mini road trip to probably the best place ever and a must-visit this month if you can.

The Wrath of Instagram: Is It Dictating Our Lives?

fashion blogger peexo instagram woes
Since the introduction of the dreaded Instagram algorithm, a lot of us have noticed a fall in everything from engagement to followers. I'm guilty of constantly checking my phone to see how many likes/comments/followers I have, and throughout the day I end up doing this more times than I would like to admit.

What Not To Do When You're Stuck In a Style Rut

Tuesday, 10 October 2017

peexo fashion blogger stuck style rut
At least once a year these style woes come knocking and every year I fall into the trap of not knowing what to wear which actually puts a downer on a lot of what I do. Whilst I'm still not sure about what exactly you should do when you're stuck in a style rut other than wait for it to pass, there are a few things I try not to do when the dreaded style rut swings by.

It's OK If You Haven't Found Your Personal Style In Your 20's

peexo autumn finding your personal style 20s
A lot of things happen when you're in your 20's, it's that period of growing up/getting your sh*t together/graduating/getting a job and just general adulting. You'd think that as you near adulthood things like determining your personal style would fall into place naturally but what if it doesn't?

2 Ways To Create an Improvised Prince of Wales Check Suit

Today's post features 2 different takes on the heritage trend that continues to take over the high street. There's an array of blazers available at the moment and I quickly jumped on the trend. I've been loving the casual way of wearing a blazer but I also wanted to go down the traditional route and create two improvised Prince of Wales check suits. I haven't posted a day-to-night look in forever, I hope you like my take on this trend!

Welcoming October and Bidding my Last Goodbye to Summer

Wednesday, 4 October 2017

autumn personal style peexo fashion blogger
I'm feeling so autumnal, ready for the season ahead, and just generally loving everything about this season and it has only just begun. With that said, I think I'm ready to say goodbye to the summer. Goodbye to the constant feeling of I'm not good enough for this; goodbye to the worry surrounding Instagram; goodbye to strict schedules that have made social media less enjoyable for me; goodbye to the summer that has been and gone.

The Easy Way To Wear Light Colours In Autumn

Monday, 25 September 2017

autumn light colour palette peexo fashion blogger
Autumn is by far my favourite season, I love all things knitwear, ankle boots (they're my guilty pleasure!), lightweight coats and long dresses almost always in the traditional autumnal hues. Admittedly, my wardrobe goes over to the dark side as autumn begins - there just seems to be more available but sticking to a lighter colour palette throughout autumn can definitely be done.

The Seasonal Style Rut Strikes Again

Thursday, 21 September 2017

"I don't know what to wear!"

The words that come out of my mouth every morning as I stare into my wardrobe that is filled to the brim, yet I have absolutely nothing to wear. I pick out the same few pieces over and over and can't seem to do anything else. The transitional period between summer and autumn is the one I struggle the most with.

Mixing New On-Trend Pieces with Summer Wardrobe Favourites

Tuesday, 12 September 2017

I find this always happens; you initially spot someone wearing a piece you're not too sure about but then you see it rapidly take over in the blogosphere and then stocked in your favourite high street stores and then it somehow ends up making it into your wardrobe (no idea how that happened!) This is how trend led pieces make their way into my wardrobe, not sure about you?

An Unexpected Trip

Wednesday, 30 August 2017

douro valley portugal summer peexo travel blogger
As the end of this year's break in Portugal approached, we did our best to fit in some more exploring before we had to pack our bags to head back to reality. A car drive following the Rio Tua led us to Foz do Tua; smaller than a village, the hamlet housed a train station, café, some houses and little else. We stuck around for a while to do some exploring and grab a drink, and then, a coal train pulled in.

Last Week In Portugal I...

Monday, 28 August 2017

Just like that, three weeks have gone by super quickly and I'm heading back to the UK tonight! I must admit, I'm really looking forward to being back home but having said that, I enjoyed my time in Portugal and tried to make the most of it as best as I could. So, here's a roundup of my final week in Portugal and what I got up to.

How To Make The Most of Wherever You Are

Friday, 25 August 2017

making the most of wherever you are
This summer I vowed to make the most of being in a different country and different location. I've struggled with making my holidays look idyllic in the past (reality dictates that not everything is as incredible as it looks online) but I've tried to make that feel different this time around by making the most of where I am.

Last Week In Portugal I...

I can't believe week 2 in Portugal has been and gone, this summer is going by super quickly and whilst I'm really looking forward to Autumn and being back in London, it doesn't stop me from felling slightly scared about how quickly this summer has flown by - I only have 1 week left! But enough of that, here's a look at what I got up to last week!

Golden Hour At The Beach

Monday, 21 August 2017

peexo fashion blogger summer style
Last week we were by the sea for a couple of days for a wedding and so naturally, we squeezed in a trip to the beach! We spent most of the day at the beach and then went back to our hotel to shower and change for the evening. One thing I love about being by the beach is the incredible sunset which we made sure we didn't miss!

A Country Threatened By Flames

Friday, 18 August 2017

peexo countryside portugal style
It's heartbreaking to hear about all the forest fires that are devastating Portugal at the moment, it's scary to feel the constant threat of fires spreading through the country. Whilst forest fires aren't a new occurrence in Portugal, every year they seem to get worse, affecting so many people and always the most vulnerable in villages like mine, surrounded by greenery.

Last Week In Portugal I...

portugal travel blog peexo
In 2015, I started this mini feature whilst in Portugal and so far, it's been a yearly thing. For that reason, I thought I'd bring it back again! As I spend quite a lot of time in Portugal I thought it would be nice to share some snippets of what I get up to on a weekly basis. I've decided to keep these roundups very casual with some snaps from my iPhone as they're usually the photos I really love and rarely get to share other than on my Instagram story (which disappears after 24hrs anyway). So here goes...

The Portugal I Know

Monday, 14 August 2017

peexo summer in portugal
This year - thanks to Instagram believe it or not - I've fallen for the Portugal I know. I say thanks to Instagram because it's on trend to capture images of vineyards, lemon trees and fresh fruits which is exactly what I am surrounded by here. I used to desperately search for white backgrounds and perfectly painted houses but this year, I couldn't be less interested in finding those and rather sharing snippets of what I've known my whole life.

An Evening In The Desert

Friday, 4 August 2017

peexo travel blogger desert dubai
Going to the desert was something I desperately wanted to do whilst in Dubai, it's something so surreal yet we missed out on the experience during our first trip to Dubai back in 2014 and I wished we had been. So this time around it simply couldn't go a-miss. And so, one evening we set off from our hotel for a desert adventure.

5 Things To Do In Dubai

things to do in dubai peexo
Dubai is one of those cities that holds so many beautiful things; whether you're stepping foot in the desert or you're visiting The Dubai Mall for the first time, there's so much to see and do which go beyond your wildest dreams. Whilst we spent the majority of our days lounging by the pool, some days we just needed an escape into some air con filled rooms and luckily, there's plenty to see in Dubai!

The Lost City of Atlantis

Friday, 28 July 2017

It's so easy to get lost amidst the colour and wonders of the lost city of Atlantis. This trip was my second visit to Dubai and the second time I stayed at Atlantis The Palm, so the brightly coloured aquarium wasn't new to me but somehow I still managed to get lost inside all over again.

Dubai From My iPhone

Rewind to Friday 14th July when I made my way to Dubai, a very last minute and impromptu trip. I've been to Dubai once before, which I actually blogged about believe it or not, but it was very early on in my blogging journey so all my content is pretty cringe (I'm not going to link back to old posts but they're all there for your viewing pleasure should you wish to look for them). Here's what I did this year...

A Weekend In Finchley

Friday, 21 July 2017

weekend in finchley peexo london fashion blogger
Being a South West London girl (born and bred), I've never really had the chance to explore some areas of London and I'm making a conscious effort to change that whenever I can. Summer in London is one of the best times to explore the city from the outside, that is, without being cooped up indoors sheltering from the rain. One of the perks of being in London is the sheer amount of greenery there is and the parks nestled within the city.

How To Get Away with a Crop Top at a Wedding

Wednesday, 19 July 2017

wearing crop top wedding guest peexo blogger
Weddings are hard to dress for and can actually end up being quite boring when the search typically defaults to finding a dress. Whilst I'll happily take any excuse to buy a new dress, I wanted to try and branch out a little from the usual (but if dresses are your thing then there's plenty more wedding guest outfit ideas on my blog here). My love for crop tops this summer has become apparent so I went for a bit of mix and match in order to create an outfit that I would happily wear to a wedding myself.

5 Reasons Why It's Important For Bloggers To Know Their Worth

5 reasons why it's important for bloggers to know their worth peexo
The blogosphere is still relatively new and there isn't much for us bloggers to go by when it comes to how to act, communicate and build relationships within the industry. The topic of sponsorships and money is still a bit of a faux-pas with some people being for it and others against the idea. It's hard to know where to stand and whilst I still don't have the answer to this, I do think it's so important for bloggers to know their worth.

A Summer's Evening Wearing All Black

Friday, 7 July 2017

I often try to steer clear from all black looks during the summer for two reasons: firstly, I really try to lighten up my wardrobe with the addition of prints and bold colours and secondly, because black usually makes me feel so warm! Which is definitely not what you want on a scorching hot day. But my love for an all black look doesn't end come summer, the evening's is what it's all about!

Why You Should Buy a Red Dress This Summer

Wednesday, 5 July 2017

peexo fashion blogger buying a red dress summer
I'm slowly but surely filling up my wardrobe with a vast array of red dresses. Wrap dresses, midi dresses, a-line dresses, embroidered dresses and so many more! I've definitely noticed - it would be hard not to - that the colour red has been creeping up and taking over my summer wardrobe.

On The Go Beauty

Monday, 3 July 2017

peexo blogger on the go beauty picks
It's not often that I travel with makeup, I very rarely touch up on the go, but more recently I've been spending long days out and by the time I get home I definitely feel and look worse for wear. I've found that when I'm out and about shooting new content for my blog or when I have pesky spots hanging about, it's always good to have some bits on hand to keep me going all day long - especially during the summer.

Writer's Block

Thursday, 29 June 2017

peexo blogger dealing with writer's block
To be completely honest, as I began writing this post (at exactly 23:42 on Wednesday night) I started off with the title going places and a stupid intro about how I was super happy about going on two holidays this summer instead of one - wow, who am I? I read over it and I thought to myself, why do I sound so superficial? Don't I have anything better to write?

Reformation Vibes Minus The Price Tag

Wednesday, 28 June 2017

peexo fashion blogger reformation vibes
Reformation is one of those brands that I think it's safe to say most people are obsessed with at the moment, their wrap dresses are gorgeous and just the general vibe of the brand encapsulates summer. Whilst I have yet to invest in the brand myself, I have definitely been loving seeing pieces on the high street (and subsequently, snapping up said pieces) that are inspired by the brand.

This year I've felt more excited about the wedding season than ever before as in August, I'll be maid of honour for the first time! So I've become very much committed to all things wedding, having gone to my fair share of wedding shows, been to plenty of dress fittings (both for the bride and myself) and just generally following all things wedding related.

I'm desperately trying to move away from ankle boots and trainers - my go-to's when it comes to footwear - so I've been picking up a few new shoes for the summer months to up my style game and hopefully put a halt to the boot loving gal in me (at least for the summer).

I've always differentiated summer in London and summer abroad and as a result, my outfits have always been very different throughout summer in the city when compared to my holiday style because in my opinion, the city means work and a working wardrobe to match.

Transforming Gingham For The Evening

Gingham is a serious statement piece right now! I think every girl, and probably guy, has at least one gingham piece sitting in their wardrobe. I have about ten. When I think of gingham, I think cute summer's day wear but I wanted to toughen up the print a little and make it evening ready.
